Moar progress...

Did my first motor pull today. Matt and Nick came over to give me a hand. From a running and driving car to engine pulled took 2h 30m. Every bolt went into a labeled baggy, some labels are explicit.. thanks Nick! Every nut and bolt came off without a hitch. Didn't get any trouble from ANY of them! The Florida car practically payed for itself in PB Blaster savings.

Here are some photos of today's progress.

Making progress..

You can click on all these photos for high-res versions.

I decided to put the stock suspension back on. I figure this will make it easier to roll around and work on it this off-season. It's wicked cool being able to jack the car up without using blocks first.

It's definitely not pretty...

Remember this?

I need to pull the fender off to get to the harness, then peel the wrapping off it and fix the damage.

In the meantime, I did this to keep it out of the elements the best I could with what I had.

Next is to disconnect the engine harness and label everything, mark how much to lengthen the distributor plug and other small things. No sooner than I finished prepping to start tearing down, I find out that we figured out my ecu problem. The daughterboard had two pins that weren't making a connection to the ecu. So that was fixed and I get it back from Tommy. Here is the finished product of Matt's work. (I know, all these names and no faces)

Well now I've got to try this out! Few random shots of the interior...

I just gotta say WOW. She sounds like a moOOOOnstaAAr! The two-step is wicked pissa and the power band just comes alive. I wish my motor was a little stronger. Tommy's car is 100% stock and healthy, mine has just about every engine bolt-on and is TIRED (<-- understatement). His pulls just as hard as mine now. I'm looking forward to having a healthy motor next season!

I'd like to leave you with this...

Movie Review!

Last night was opening night. This is a great movie that takes place in Boston. It's got a great story and the acting doesn't suck! Go see, I assure you will enjoy!

I haven't got much..

I've just been trying to get caught up on everything I was putting off before the wedding. I'm married now, and it's pretty cool. We are going through the photos to see if we would like anything else in our album.

...well I typed that and walked away. We are now finished making the decisions on the album. Time to relax!

Updates!

How do you like the new layout?

Today's ride up the coast..

This was amazing. Never been so close to such a large swan. Beautiful creature. I've also got some video, may or may not upload it depending on how well it comes out.

EDIT: Ok, so it came out great. I wasn't sure if you were able to see the swan with the sunset in the backround while I was filming. Lately I've been looking more and more into a DSLR. I'm not sure if I want to go with Cannon or Nikon. I think the Nikon will take better pics, but the Cannon takes better video. Taking video is pretty important to me in my decision. Open to suggestions.. Enough chatter, here's the video!
